Oh shit! It’s a triple! Hey kids, Today’s viewing is for a little band called Thunderheist. The only reason you could say that this band is little is from them not being on Wikipedia or iTunes, yet their music and lyrical abilities put their stuff at the top of my list. How on earth I stumbled upon these people I dare not share. But our beloved music bands happened to have stumbled upon them, as today’s video choice, “Jerk it,” was even remixed by another little band called MSTRKRFT. Thunderheist is a duo composed of a singer Isis and DJ Grahmzilla. Enough about the band already. This song rocks, and the videos are even more wicked! Let’s make that three-egg omelet of badassness already!

Question One. Is the music video 99% stuff other than the artist's head? You have to love our duo for having other people make the videos, and then having the people pick one. This question is obsolete for all three videos. How awesome. One point for all three videos even before the review reviewing process begins.

Video One – Directed by Kristin Waterson.

Cliff notes: This video feels like the song is passing the dance/groove/”Jerk-It” bug from person to person. Each person dances differently, each one still moving to the song to fit within the beat, and all equally entertaining.

Question Two. Is the cinematography pure awesomeness? I’d have to say that the cinematography captured each character quite perfectly. There was no amazing camera angle, nothing absurdly unique, just a plain, clean view of each person dancing. I seriously loved it. There appears to be a color filter on a few of the scenes, but nothing spectacular. I’m going to say half point because it doesn’t look like a high-budget/any budget video.

Question Three. Is the video easy to follow? Do you know what’s goin' on? Yes. Dance bug. Everyone’s got it in them, and we see it. Nice work. One point.

Question Four. Does the theme stay consistent throughout the video? For the most part, I do know what’s going on. I love the idea of the bug being passed from person to person, but they cut into a club scene at the end for a few moments, and honestly I don’t see the point. It’s not an attractive part of the video. In actuality, the most attractive part is the dude pouring Cheetos on his head. Another half point. Sorry Kristin!

So our first Video gets three for four. I have a feeling this will be a hard contest according to my rules.

Video Two Directed by thatgo.

Cliff Notes: One girl holding something in one room for three minutes. I can’t make this up, and I think it’s the winner.

Question Two. Is the cinematography pure awesomeness? I think this is what honestly sells the video beyond belief. It blows my mind. When you’re watching the girl dance in the very beginning, you get the idea of a girl dancing, which she is. Then they cut to this very insanely slow-motion cinematography where we see her body, or rather sections of her body, vibrate. I was still thinking the girl was dancing until I saw she was holding a chicken. A living chicken. Holy shit. One point.

Question Three. Is the video easy to follow? Do you know what’s goin' on? Yes. Girl holding chicken, or dare I say, dancing partner? One Point.

Question Four. Does the theme stay consistent throughout the video? Yes, it does. There’s nothing crazy. No other scenes. It’s just a girl and her lovely chicken. Another point.

This second video leaves little hope for our third video. Honestly, it’s the simplicity of the video that really makes it a winner. I want to watch it again, but I’ve got another video to watch.

Video Three – Directed by dinosaur FACTORY

Cliff Notes: You’re at a Thunderheist concert. Yawn.

Question Two. Is the cinematography pure awesomeness? No. Zero points.

Question Three. Is the video easy to follow? Do you know what’s goin' on? Yes. You’re at a Thunderhiest concert. Congrats, you get a point.

Question Four. Does the theme stay consistent throughout the video? No. It shows the Thunderheist logo at the end of the video. I hate that more then showing the artist’s head. Zero points.

Two Points for Mr. dinosaur. And you got one point by default. Barely.

Well, Thankfully we know who Q-V’s choice is. Make sure you watch all three. Or at least the first two, unless you only have three minutes, then just watch the one directed by thatgo.
