Last night, Ground Control (or at least three members of the GC team) was lucky enough to catch Tokyo Police Club as they played to a packed, sweaty house at L.A.'s Troubadour. You can look forward to the forthcoming review, but take our word for it now, they kicked much ass, barreling through a bunch of songs from their forthcoming album.
Forthcoming album you say? Yeah, that's right. They've in fact just signed to Saddle Creek to produce their as-yet-untitled (and unrecorded) follow-up to 2006's A Lesson In Crime EP. And there's a new single for "Your English is Good" available as a 7" or digitally, each with a different b-side.
The Canadian lads recently visited Daytrotter and threw down some tracks, including a new song titled, oh-so-cleverly, "New Song."
To top all that off, they're currently on tour with Dappled Cities, who also aren't to be missed. Check the tour dates here:
