How's tricks ya punks?

Awright, I'm not exactly sure wha's been goin' on lately, but has anybody else noticed how many cover songs're bein' released these days? Wha happened? Did bands start fergettin' how ta write songs or somethin'? There ain't been'is many cover songs on reckids since da 1980s – I need'is explained ta me. It's like heroin wasn't good enough no more, so everybody's turnin' ta designer drugs. Ah well, it'least I foun' some good ones fo'ya dis week, they oughtta take the edge off. 'Cause Nirvana's reckid Nevermind's turnin' twenty dis year, SPIN magazine gotta buncha new bands ta each cover a tune an'en compiled 'em all an' called it Newermind. Now holdjer joke, 'at's 'newer,' not 'manure' cuz some o'dem are pretty good. I laid my sticky fingers on 'em an' threw 'em all innis week's SWAG Report. Not only dat, but I nabbed an EP by The Postelles. It's all covers too! Like, what the fuck?!

Good thing fer alla us, I foun' a buncha songs'at were ACTUALLY done by da band'at's playin' 'em too. I scored a coupla songs from the new Restorations reckid fer yer approval (I most definitely fuckin' approve, 'at band's fuckin' great), managed ta git another Lady Antebellum song fo' ya an' oh! This is a gem: I scored da new They Had Faces Then tune, fresh outta da studio! Dis oughtta make ol' fi'dollar Billy happy cuz I know he's got a serious crush onn'at band but, even betta, it's also a really, really good song too! Check'at shit out, definitely.

What else have I got? What ain't I got! I got some new They Might Be Giants – not makin' kids music 'is time – an' another new Wu Tang Clan tune, the newest Burlap To Cashmere, the newest Blackie and The Rodeo Kings, the newest Blacklist Royals, the new Danko Jones single (I lifted'at from the las' episode o' True Blood – didja see it? 'At shit's gettin' exciting!), new Fred Squire, new Grandpa Was A Lion… fuck! We hit paydirt again'is week ya dumb punk junkie! So go geddit awready! Take it all, give nothin' back an' celebrate yer summer o' steroids or something!

Love and sloppy kisses,
yr. ever-lovin' Don Loder.
