Whenna boat hitsa beach, it don't mess around, does it? This week, I gotcha ova SEVENTY little bits o' SWAG ta calm yer nerves an' make everything alright.
Some of it's pretty good too. I gotcha the new Mayer Hawthorne single (which might help me get well too, las' time I included one o' his tracks, I got me a subscription ta SPIN Magazine), a Hella song so new, it DON'T EVEN HAVE A TITLE YET, a new tune I lifted offa that English dweeb Jon Langford (lotsa folks seem ta like'im though), this band 1994! ('at was a good year), 'at band Annabel 'at Billy wrote about when he review their EP (sounded pretty good ta me!), this band Big Black Delta 'at don't sound anything like their name, annis group The Perms. Now lemme tell ya about The Perms cause Billy turned me onto 'em. The Perms have been kickin' around through small town Canada for almos' ten years now an' doin' okay, but if what ther doin' now is a sign o' what's comin', they've turned and are, shall we say, destined for better things. This new song is pure power pop ma, like Cheap Trick an' The Odds all rolled into one! It's fuckin' great! Lotsa the stuff Billy turns me onta isn't half as good asis (doesn't say much, cause he's the boss o' this institution), but he struck gold wit' this one. So start there, an' go forth an' wreak havoc ya wretched little addicts! Pilfer yer weaselly black guts out, but make sure ya grab The Perms!
