So we made it this far, an' none of us is dead'r busted, so's we mus' be doin' somethin' right, right? Good, good shit – I say, an'a hits jus' keep on comin' too – I managed ta boost another primo bag o' SWAG this week, fer yer thievin' pleasure.
First, I lifted a couple o' tunes from Atari Teenage Riot. Now, these kids got ther start as a buncha pop-punkin' an' over-emo'ed brats, but ther shapin' up now – these two new tunes – especially "Blood In My Eyes" – really got somethin'; the little pop punks done growed up – ya know what I'm sayin'?
I also scored a free EP from Big Freedia, who's makin' waves right now down inna Big Easy. Ainchu heard about it yet? This new kinda electro hip hop strain's called Bounce music an' is all over da New York Times lately; that's where I heard about it, so I nabbed an EP's-worth for ya ta sample – lemme know whatcha think.
Oh, what else've I got… Oh yeah! teefed some new tunes from some ol' favorites includin' Geoff Berner, Gomez an' Poly Styrene, an' some new shit from Mother Mother, Jess Hill an' Rebirth Brass Band 'at's pretty great too – so go after it already, ya no-good little no-account junkies.
