Well, not smaller acts exactly, jus' the ones ya might not expect. Like Alain Johannes an' Mini Mansions fer example – these bands 're signed ta Josh Homme's imprint Rekords Rekords. 'At means it's a small label that some so-an'-so started as a retirement fund I think – why else do musicians start record labels? Anyway, why he started it don't make shit fer differece because the bastid obviously has good taste – these two acts totally fuckin' rock out with ther cocks out man! An' they look fine doin' it too! Those're my picks o' this litter fer sure, but some o'these other ones give 'em a good run fer their money. Check out B.A. Johnston an' Jim Guthrie fer example – how do ya argue with a guy that puts John Candy an' a Gremlin onna cover of his record? 'At's B. A. Johnston an' he's a total rock n' roll freak – check him out. An' Jim Guthrie? He's so good somebody name their record label after him! Well, sort of – Three Gut records was named afta Jim before it went tits up a couple o' years ago. An' 'ere's Stereolab an' Tim Kasher an' Class Actress an' Hesta Prynn an' Madison – these chicks'll all make ya cry man, an' not from a scorching case o' herpes either! They're all clean baby!
