The Black Angels are proud to announce the release of their second record on Light in the Attic Records. Titled Directions to See a Ghost, the record was produced by the band, along with Passover producer Erik Wofford, and will be released on May 13, 2008.

Bathed in haunting psychedelic, opiated chiaroscuro, the songs on Directions to See a Ghost are both hypnotic and driving at the same time. Dynamics are essential to the proceedings—drums pound and crescendos explode and then give way as the songs fall back into a shadowy calm and then burst anew as the distant, ominous melodies skim the surface and then plunge into depths of reverb and darkness. The album is produced with big sounds and shines with a clarity and pointedness where other bands might hide behind fuzz and dementia.

The Black Angels have announced a headlining UK tour:

May 9 Paris, France La Maroquinerie
May 10 Camber, UK All Tomorrow's Parties Festival
May 12 Birmingham, UK Bar Academy
May 13 Glasgow, Scotland Nice N Sleazy's
