For all of those worried that all their favorite Independent bands were slowly selling out their sound for fancy cars and soundtrack deals (I’m looking in your direction The Shins); rest assured: Indie-Pop is alive and well, particularly in the hands of Philly rockers, The A-Sides. Forming in 2002 and releasing their debut album, Hello, Hello, in 2005, they have been on and off the radar ever since.
Most recently, The A-Sides will be gearing up for the release of their sophomore effort, Silver Storms on September 18th. Furthermore, immediately following the album’s release, The A-Sides will be raising the curtain on their very first national tour this fall.
For the local fans, they will also be having a record release show and takes place at Johnny Brenda's and will also feature performances from the Capitol Years and Bitter Bitter Weeks.
The information for release show is as follows:
August 30 – Philadelphia, PA @ Johnny Brenda’s, 9pm, $10
