As Minneapolis-based rockers Tapes ‘N Tapes—Josh Grier (guitar, vocals), Jeremy Hanson (drums), Matt Kretzmann (keyboards), and Erik Appelwick (bass guitar)—released their acclaimed sophomore album, Walk It Off, it was inevitable that a U.S. tour would follow. They played First Avenue in their hometown on April 10 and weaved their way across this country with stops in New York, Philly, Atlanta, Los Angeles (Where Ground Control caught them with White Denim) and finished up in Denver, CO. There are a few more European dates left, and then they’ll be back around for the Download Festival in L.A. and S.F on July 19 and 20, respectively. Make sure to check them out.
In other news, Tapes ‘N Tapes have asked fans to participate in a Making Strides Against Breast Cancer or Avon Walk For Breast Cancer event, to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Fans of the band can register as "Team Tapes 'N Tapes," for a walk event in their area. Once fans have completed a walk in their city as "Team Tapes 'N Tapes," they can report back about the funds they have raised and a winner in each city will be selected to receive a personalized signed copy of the double LP Walk It Off.
