Britt Daniel, Jim Eno and the rest of the boys from Spoon could be sitting back on their laurels right now. After all, they've had a run of damn good albums, culminating in last year's Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (although I personally feel that anything after "The Beast and Dragon, Adored" has to be a step back, just because of the sheer awesomeness of that song).
But apparently laurel-sitting isn't on the menu just yet, since the band is taking a so-called "victory lap" this April with support from The Walkmen and White Rabbits. So far, they're confined to the Eastern portion of this nation of ours, but those of us who break out the sunblock early may still be appeased, thanks to the following official statement: "Additional cities and venues will be announced as they are confirmed." Of course, if you live somewhere like Winnemucca, Nevada or Lobster Valley, Oregon, I wouldn't hold your breath.
