I think there's something to be said when fans cry out, "Don't ever cover this band because you'll ever do them justice!” That can be said about bands jacking samples like Puff Daddy and that God awful Godzilla song, Limp Bizkit fumbling through “Behind Blue Eyes” for another movie I think, and maybe the most painful of all, Michael Bolton’s attempt at “Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay.” It hurts me just to type that.

So when Portishead posts a blog on their MySpace that simply says “covers,” with a grip of YouTube videos, you wonder if they’re over their laughing or crying. Either way, these were fished out by them, and for all I know it’s either the best of the best, or the worst of the worst. Some of the bands are AAZ, some dude with his shirt off, Matt Korhecz, Chanel Cole and a few more, er, musicians. There are so many more on YouTube, just do a search. All I have to say is…..no words come to mind actually.

So, sit back, relax, and do your best Simon Cowell impression and check out the vids below.
