Ever since we heard "Fit Black Man" on Ghosly International's Idol Tryouts Two compilation, Skeletons have been on our radar, blipping away casually. Now that they have a new record coming out May 8, called Lucas, a tour is just a necessary evil that comes with writing amazing music. You gotta eat, right?

Regardless if this makes any sense to you or not, here's how Skeletons' ringleader Matt Mehlan describes the inspiration for LUCAS:

LUCAS is named after a small town in Kansas, where the Garden of Eden is… I started writing words for the record when we were driving through those huge states—thinking about these little places off the interstate… sometimes just a house or two next to each other. I had been having all these dreams about hair—gnarly ones. One in particular where I woke up and got ready for the day. Showered, shaved, brushed my teeth and then realized: this isn't my real hair! I found a seam and started to pull blooded hairknots from underneath. I pulled at it some more and it slid off! Revealing my TRUE head!”
