There were so many outstanding moments on this year’s Vans Warped Tour. The mere fact is that this is our first Vans Warped Tour and we had no idea what to expect. However, not only did Warped Tour meet our expectations, it completely surpassed it.
I think the single greatest aspect about the tour is that there were so many great bands that I have listened to for some time and finally had the opportunity to meet them, and hang out with them behind the scenes. Claudio from Coheed & Cambria, Anthony from Circa Survive, Shawn from The Matches, and several others.
But the most overwhelming thing about the warped tour was the people that showed up to the shows, they were incredible. My favorites were Orlando/St. Petersburg (hometown), Detroit, and Salt Lake City…
My absolute favorite of the entire tour was Denver, Colorado. It poured down rain all day off and on, but the people stayed at the show right through it all—we were scheduled to play last that day, but because of the rain we were pushed back to 8:30pm. After being out in the elements all day the guys and I thought no one would be left, and I wouldn't have blamed them. If I had stood outside in the summer heat and pseudo-tropical downpour for 10 and a half hours, I probably would have been long gone, but not in Denver. Not only was it one of the biggest crowds we had, but it felt like everyone was singing along. We had such a good time on the main stage, and we were so appreciative that everyone hung around and sang along. I love the tour and am completely looking forward to playing shows, hanging out with friends, and singing along with the crowd next year.
