I actually like the Fall. It means a gnarly winter is on its way, but before it shows up there is just this sort of chill and beauty around that makes you stop and think for a bit about, I don’t know, life or something. The other thing about Fall is how much new music is released during this season. Fall and SXSW are the two major times for music it seems like, so I’m all for the Fall. Which will explain why there are almost 30 free downloads just below.
I think for this post, my favorite discovery has to be either Woodhands or Friendly Fires. It’s a toss up but I’m definitely loving both bands right now. The new Land of Talk and Dead Confederate are pretty awesome too. Of course there are some nice remixes, like Cut Copy’s take on CSS’s “Move,” which should do just that. As for the others, well they all pretty much have my stamp of approval, or they just might popular and I’ve jumped on a bandwagon.
