There are Rock Festivals, and then there is Soundwave. Now in its' fifth year of traveling to Australia's major cities, the 2011 Soundwave Festival has a line-up that will most surely not be topped by any other festival, no matter what country.
Rolling into five major cites (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth) in just ten days, this year's Soundwave will offer one of its' most diverse line-ups to date. From metal legends Iron Maiden and Slayer to punk stalwarts Social Distortion and Pennywise to more mainstream acts such as Thirty Seconds To Mars and Third Eye Blind, there is guaranteed to be something for everyone. There will be over sixty-five bands on six stages throughout the day, with most acts in a common genre spaced out far enough for fans to see just about every band they are there for. If you are an Australian local or looking to take in your first international music festival or a fan ready to go the distance to see a phenomenal show, Soundwave looks to be the festival to catch in 2011.
