At Ground Control, we've become big fans of Cat Power for any number of reasons; the video for “Lived in Bars,” the fact that she's actually able to complete a live set now, her unparalleled taste and vision for cover songs, and—most importantly in a world where you live and die with web traffic—the benefits of the confusion that surrounds her cover of David Bowie's “Space Oddity.”

See, not unlike “Baba O'Riley” (ask around and see how many people know it as “Teenage Wasteland”), “Space Oddity” is often known to casual listeners as “Ground Control,” for obvious reasons. We get to benefit, because anyone who does a Google search for Cat Power & Ground Control stumbles upon our site, a mistake for which we are eternally grateful. So to reward those mistaken yet well meaning internet travelers, we'll add the 2009 Lincoln MKS advertisement in which the track appears right here:

And yes, we realize that "Teenage Wasteland" was an early working title for "Baba O'Riley," but we promise, the song you know and love is actually called "Baba O'Riley."
