Justice just keeps proving itself to be the Christian-Electronica-Band-That-Could. With their 2007 debut album, Cross, they managed to merge the sounds of Daft Punk with the sounds of neo-dance rock bands like LCD Soundsystem and Ratatat. Coming out of Paris, France, the band easily broke into the United States gaining much internet popularity from the video for their first single, “D.A.N.C.E”. In keeping with MTV’s recent trend of paying heavy attention to online independent acts, they have recently nominated “D.A.N.C.E.” for video of the year at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
The visually groundbreaking video for "D.A.N.C.E." pairs Justice's patented futurist disco with a rotating cast of vibrant t-shirt illustrations directed by Jonas & Francois of 75 and illustrated by Ed Banger art director So Me. However, the video is not a shoe-in as it will be up against stiff competition by a number of heavy hitters such as: Beyonce, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, and Amy Winehouse.
