Liverpool quartet Clinic will make their first U.S. live appearances since 2004 this March with eight select performances. The Grammy-nominated masked band will be touring in support of their fourth full-length, Visitations, due in stores January 23rd on Domino Records. These shows will be their only appearances in these markets in 2007.
Heralded as one of the most distinct creative groups of the past decade, Clinic burst onto the U.S. music scene in 2001 with the release of their debut full-length Internal Wrangler which was quickly followed by 2002’s Walking With Thee. That record earned the band a “Best Alternative Album” Grammy nomination alongside Coldplay and Elvis Costello. 2004’s Winchester Cathedral found Clinic exploring the darker corners of the psyche with brilliance. Visitations marks a new chapter for the band. Clinic recorded and produced the album entirely on their own in their Liverpool-based studio, The Cooker.
Visitations was released in Europe last month garnering excellent reviews. NME gave the record an 8 out of 10 calling it, "a stunning return to form," while Time Out London called Clinic, "The Fall of their generation."
Clinic is renowned for their high energy performances so do not miss your chance to see them live. Tickets will go on sale Thursday, December 7th. A complete list of dates is below.
